As a child, Tony performed as a chorister and soloist at the Pasadena Boy’s Choir. Tony also enjoyed playing the clarinet in the third grade and eventually performed in a pep band in high school for occasional football games. Later on, he studied under the former Music Director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Paul Salamunovich, while attending Loyola Marymount University (LMU). Tony has sung internationally and even performed on television.
In 2010, Tony co-founded The Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA) at Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) as a way for young people to learn and enjoy playing music. In his latest endeavor, Tony has teamed up with the renowned music director, Daniel Suk, where together with the HOLA IO advisory board, and community members have launched the Intergenerational Orchestra. Tony also serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of HOLA.
